Do we know when this feature is available on Edge Data Store?
This is vital for a complete migration from DA to UA, specially for calculation handling/triggering. When is this to be expected?
This is now marked "in development". can someone from AVEVA indicate a timeline when the feature is expected?
Could the situation not be mitigated by setting the Expiry Time in the data filters?
It would not give you synchronisation with the wall clock, but could help to have more data points between which to interpolate?
Not saying the use case is not valid, just trying to look for a work around until AVEVA implement.
in power generation it is necessary to have the correct value at a defined point in time f.i. at 00.00 the total amount of power generated. we used the polling to get the totals per time unit and day week etc.
after OPC UA we lost this ability in the pi system and had to make changes to the control system to do the work that was previously was done by PI
A polling option would definitely help for a small number of PI points with a fixed time 5 min 15 min 60 min etc
