Detect and monitor which OPC UA server the PI Adapter is connected to

When configuring a PI Adapter to leverage server-level redundancy, it is not currently possible to monitor which server instance the PI Adapter is connected to.
Surfacing this information would allow server administrators to better monitor the health status of the OPC UA servers and diagnose issues related to network or server failures.

    Hi,

I think the request is not understood. From my point of view the request is to be able to see the Active Server in a tag on the data archive. This is already done in the OPC DA interface.

Could you be specific which security concern prevents this information being displayed in the DA? I think its better to have the option, and if the customer likes he can configure it or not (same like OPC DA interface).

I invite the idea proposer to correct me if I have mis-interpreted the request.

    Regards,

    Sahil

Thank you for sharing your feedback. For security reasons, we have removed mention of specific data source details (such as IP address or host name) in the general Information logs. You can change your Log Level to Debug to see more information. We advise you to change it back to default log levels once you've checked the details, so that you can avoid flooding your storage with message log files. Please let us know if you have other questions related to this post.
