OPC UA Historical data recovery

The PI OPC UA connector can manage historical data recovery when connection is lost between the OPC UA server and the connector, but if the connection problem is between the OPC UA server and the data source on field, when connection is recovered and pending data is available in the OPC UA server there's no way to recover it using the connector.

completely agree as sometimes issues happened at OPC server giving bad data. Once it has fixed and the "good data restored" they can be recovered via opc. this is not possible today.

For connecting to DesigoCC this function is important so the databuffers in the controller level or in the Desigo level can be automatically recovered to the PI server. Also Alarm and event info is mandatory for us.

To run the PI OPC UA Connector in "History recovery only mode", similar to what is possible in the PI Interface for OPC HDA, would be useful in situations where you need to recover data.

I agree it would mean a lot if it would be possible to recover a custom time range from an OPC UA HDA Server. A feature to recover data between for example: *-4 weeks and *-3 weeks. Unfortunately the lack of this feature in the OPC UA connector is a showstopper for us to use the OPC UA Connector, Now we are stuck with OPC DCOM based HDA , with all the complications that come with DCOM. (Like FW, user authentication,..)
