This is a "must have" for our company to migrate from OPC DA to OPC UA architecture.

This is a must have for many customers in order to fully migrate PI OPC DA Interfaces to PI OPC UA Connectors. This is a typical request withing EA customers when designing new architectures. I have examples of at least 4 different scenarios where this is a bottleneck.

There are instances where there is a second OPC UA server for redundancy and will be good to have a backup server option to configure, same as what we got for OPC DA interface.

As others have commented, the usual case is that there is a pair of SCADA servers in redundant config, each providing an identical OPC UA interface. The concept is that PI should somehow detect if one or other server / service is offline and fail over to the second server. Due to the existing limitation the work-around we have used to to double the tag count and leave it to the user to figure out which tag is the healthy one. Obviously this comes with license count issues...
