DeltaV Smart Connector Update to OPC UA

The newest release of DeltaV has the capabilities of enabling an OPC UA server that could be used to transmit realtime date from DeltaV to the PI database. Right now, the interface between the two systems uses OPC DA. With DeltaV's plan to migrate to only using OPC UA, Is there a roadmap to update the smart connector such that it uses OPC UA for realtime data transmission? This could allow the OPC UA connector to be placed on the PI data server directly since it is much easier to setup OPC UA connections across physically separate machines (as opposed to OPC DA).

    a significant concern for customers using the current smart connector is that the AF model built by the current smart connector is not very useful, it seems reasonable to expect that the OPC UA model would be much richer and therefore useful to our customers - wouldn't it perhaps just be better to just use the OPC-UA connector pointed to the DV OPC UA server than using the manual generation of the configuration files along with the smart connector?

    Now that DeltaV 14 is live with OPC UA, can we please get an update on this item from product development?  We are being asked to what the migration path is by clients.  Thank you!

    In response to Nate Anderson, "a significant concern for customers usin..." A key benefit of the SmartConnector is its ability to generate a taglist from the defined tags in the DeltaV Historian Subsystem.  The default OPC UA connector would create every possible parameter and require manual tag maintenance above the DeltaV level, which isn't nearly as convenient.
