Native Python connector for Linux

I'm a Lead Data Scientist. I've built the MLOps pipeline for Machine Learning (ML) models. To train a model, I need at least 2-3 years of data at high frequency. While the entire data sciences community relies heavily on Python, I'm amazed to see that there is no native Python connector for Linux/Windows. I've tried PI JDBC, PI SDK, and PI webapi. PI JDBC and PI webapi are too slow to pull large data (eg last 6 months of data at 1-minute frequency for multiple tags). In terms of functionality and performance, PI SDK is good, but it is not available for Linux. Even for Windows, there is no official Python package. It is high time to develop a Python package that is platform-agnostic so that it can be used on Windows as well as on Linux and MacOS. May be a PI SDK equivalent can be developed for Linux.
