Scale ranges for binary scales

When using a plot of alarm conditions with multiple of the same alarm on the plot, I cannot use single scale versus multi-scale without the scale becoming unitized(example, Trip/Reset becomes 0 - 1 - 2 without these providing meaning to the user. When using an alarm point or other binary style point on a graph, it would be better to keep the condition name instead of shifting to range of points.
