***DELETE THIS SUGGESTION*** Update and standardize the icon of install kits

Update: very likely, only the AVEVA logo will be used going forward.

There were 3 install kit icons in use:

  • The AVEVA logo for PI Vision and PI AF Client

  • That of PI System Management Tools, which is the old OSIsoft logo but with a lighter shade of blue and is borderless and uses anti-aliasing

  • All of the other icons (e.g. that of PI Server), which are the old OSIsoft logo with the "OSIsoft" blue and have a border around the logo and do not use anti-aliasing. The shield icon (for administrator privileges) is also different than that of PI System Management Tools.

Please pick just 1 icon and use it for all install kits unless there is a good reason to deviate. If any install kits will continue to use the OSIsoft logo, at least use the new, flat logo.

For the record, the favicon of the Live Library also uses a weird version of the OSIsoft logo. OSIsoft has also changed their logo since I posted this suggestion, so maybe this suggestion will be solved just due to the logo being updated everywhere.
