Reformat software download search

To download software, you must currently select the correct site, scroll through a list of licenses, and then click on the correct license package (ie - PI System Access, PI Infrastructure, PI Standards Interfaces). This then opens a second search bar to find a particular product. Can this be streamlined as a single search similar to the previous Tech Support website?

Good news! You can now filter and find product software downloads in the Products page on the Customer Portal! First, select the site you want to search. And then type in a few characters of a software name, such as "Asset Framework" and the product list will automatically filter to show you only products that contain that string.

Completely agree it is completely un-intuitive!

In the previous tech support site you could easily filter for install kits. I feel this is what is missing from the new customer portal. Filtering for Downloads brings in everything. After a call to OSIsoft tech support and the engineer has trouble finding software proves the system has not been designed well.

Agreed. previous tech support site was a significant improvement over the previous version when it came to finding software and documentation. This version not so much.

Agreed. Three of my EA customers are struggling with the searching capabilities of the new customer portal.

Second this. It is almost impossible to search for things now unless you know where to look. Not sure what the use for grouping it into each license package is...

Is there no longer a way to see release notes and documentation for a product before you purchase it? This new portal is a mess!

You can't even get to documentation anymore. So does that mean you must purchase an interface before you can read release notes and user manuals to ensure it fits the use case? Or must we involve the OSI account manager for simple questions that we could have answered ourselves in a matter of seconds?

A search for downloadable products was much simpler on the previous site (Tech Support). Placing a search option by type is much simpler and more objective.

Customer comment: The “My Download” list is also very hard to navigate. And it is amplified as some products get bundled into new names at the same time.

Again: a massive step backwards making life difficult for all but the simplest of cases.

The whole experience stinks. Once again OSI releases an interface that is a complete pile.

I mailed my EA Account Manager about this and he pointed me to a KB article for how to search the new site. https://explore.osisoft.com/myosisoft-customer-portal/how-to-download-prod-1 You have to be kidding me. A KB article on how to setup a connector or reprocess archives but how to search for software? Poorly done OSI!

This new portal is a mess. How do you expect the customers to search for OSI products?? I have been struggling with finding the current versions of relevant products for days now.

Software Downloads should be as simple as, log onto you SSO, click on Product > Software Installation Download > (either type in the software name, i.e. Data Archive, AF Client, etc and select the version you want to download (current version or previous version).

OSIsoft does not care customer feedback. What an awful site. This transition proves their IT is ****

The Search function does not work when trying to find a download.....you have to know where to look to find something. This seems to be the "New Coke" concept and OSI needs to go back to Classic Coke.

Make the new user Portal - USER FRIENDLY. make it easy to find a download. You need to retain some of the functionality that was in the old portal.

We really need to be able to search the metadata within each package. The names are not distinct enough or there is not enough guidelines in order for us to quickly find downloads.

Search seems to work ok, but it's awfully slow to respond as you type in a letter and then have to wait. But this at least gives some functionality back.
