Exclude analysis function

On PSE we have the possibility to exclude some attributes. Right click on an attribute > properties: "Excluded". To stay consistent, it would be useful to have the same feature for Analysis. Thank you

Sorry but the feature given in PI Server 2018 is not covering the need described in this feedback. We would like to be able to exclude MANUALLY some analysis. It will be really helpful. Please re-open this feedback

I agree. And I assume if the analysis is an Event Frame Generation analysis with an associated Notification, that the Notification would also be 'excluded' and otherwise not running.

This would be incredibly useful. For folks who have Analyses that depend on attributes that are excluded--for example, consider cases when an Analysis template should be disabled because a particular piece of equipment is missing the sensor needed to generate values for a required PI Point used by that Analysis. In short, since the PI Point won't update, the corresponding Attribute is set to be "excluded". However, thanks to the AF Element Template, there is an Analysis that references that excluded attribute. It would be incredibly helpful to be able to mark that Analysis as "Excluded", which would prevent it from ever running (and needlessly generating error messages). Furthermore, it'd be even more helpful to be able to apply the "Excluded" property to AF Analyses in bulk, either through PI Builder or through some programmatic method. Lastly, ideally it could even be helpful for an AF Analysis to stop itself if it detected that one of its input Attributes was set to Excluded.

When posting feedback on the ability to override an analysis (upvote here: https://feedback.osisoft.com/forums/555148-pi-server/suggestions/31604539-ability-to-override-analysis-in-a-derived-template), found this item. Both Override and exclude are two key functions to be able to properly create inheritance hierarchies.

Being able to exclude an analysis deriving from a template with the analysis template would be a useful feature in many cases. Please re-open this feedback item!
