Allow programmatic access to AF audit trail for report generation

As a PI admin I would like to be able to generate reports based on the AF audit trail.  Currently the audit trail can be accessed manually using the audit trail utility tool and manually output a file, though I would like to be able to query the audit trail to generate reports.

    It would be great if we could view all changes made to our AF system, including date modified, configuration prior to and post modification, who made the change etc. Manually clicking through the AF hierarchy to see if a change has been made doesn't allow our administrators the level of trace-ability we require, and a method where we could generate (say) a daily report of all changes would be ideal.

    Using the AFAuditTrail class in the AF SDK, you are able to access the information from the AF audit trail. Does this not provide the information that you require?
