Propagate the value of a deleted overriding attribute to the previously overridden attribute

Let ET = element template. Suppose that ET A and ET B share an attribute of the same name (e.g. “Speed”) and whose data reference is “”. If ET A is converted to be a derived template of ET B and then Speed is deleted from ET A, then values of Speed for elements that are based on ET A should be propagated to the Speed from ET B. Currently, the value in the ET A Speed will be lost and the default value of the ET B Speed will be used. This is frustrating when you join similar element templates into an inheritance hierarchy after elements have already been made from them. The commonalities between the element templates and the need to join the element templates into an inheritance hierarchy might not be apparent until a few of such templates have been made and used.

The designed behavior is for template attributes to override another in case they are the same name. With the override, the system no longer knows what the attribute value for ET B was. This is common behavior in override situations and we have no plans to change this as changing this means we would have to retain the value of ET B attribute somewhere and also track changes.
