Filter Expressions for PI Point Data Refences

Allow the use of filter expressions, similarly PI DataLink Compressed Data, so that you can visualize or perform calculations on filtered data (e.g., excluding bad values, certain digital states, etc.).

The PI Point Data Reference by design returns one single value. If you're working with a range of values whereby you want to filter out unwanted values, please use a client tool like PI DataLink. If you're asking about filtered values with Asset Analytics, please create a new idea and include as much details as you can describing your use case.

I'm assuming this means for use in AF Analytics. If so, then yes! DataLink Advanced Queries (with filtering) are powerful and useful, and so painful to do in PI AF. Thank you!

i'm not sure I agree with the idea's suggestions, but on title alone, I believe this idea is essentially about "filtered values asset analytics" https://feedback.osisoft.com/forums/555148-pi-server/suggestions/39042073-add-filters-support-to-af-summary-calculations
