    Brendan, Can you tell me your use case for connecting with anonymous credentials since as I understand anonymous authentication is considered to be less secure?

    I thought this was already in 2016R2? We were told by Tech Support to add an attribute to the Configuration DB - PIANO\DeliveryChannel I think the attribute name is SMTPServerUseDefaultCredentials and we were told to set it to False.. Did I miss something?

    @bmccamant Yes that works in 2017 and earlier releases. In 2017 R2, this option will be exposed as an option in the Email configuration dialog in PI System Explorer.
