Update description of existing elements and analysis when template description is updated

When a element or analysis template description is changed, descriptions of existing elements or analyses are not updated. The description is only updated when the element or analysis is created. A customer has proposed the following options: If the element analysis description is blank, it is populated from the template when the template is checked in Provide a button or menu option for element analysis that provides an option to "Reset to Template"

I made changes to an analysis in a template, checked in, and all of my changes except for the description propagated down to the elements already in the template. Would be helpful if this was fixed for sure.

Hi Stephen, the description includes information about the analysis or element to be created using the template. This helps users quickly glance at the analysis/element and know its purpose without needed to parse through the expressions or attributes. See attachment for example

...or, when you make a change to the template wouldn't it just change all it's elements cause that's the point of a template (I get you make provision for allowing extensions, but probably not this, as the 'purpose' or description of an analysis won't be different from element to element - that's potentially a whooooooole lotta manual resets to perform!)
