Allow PI Web API to access the AFPort Class

Customer is referring to the AF Elements Ports that can be seen with PSE and are implemented in AF SDK in AFPort class.   Customer wants to access to the same features with PI Web API, which is currently not possible. Customer wants to know are there alternative options? Or will it be implemented in Web API in the future?

Apologies as I meant to set this item to declined with my previous update. Thank you for your valuable feedback. We have no plans to work on this feature in the near future, so I am setting the status to declined. I will update the status if we eventually schedule this work.

We are developing a custom PI Vision widget that shows the full list of connected elements with some attributes values taken from that elements. if PI Web API could expose this information would be very usefull. thank you

As far as I know, AF Ports are only implemented in Sigmafine and don't serve much use outside that product. Are you using Sigmafine? I am not sure how likely these sorts of objects are to ever live outside of the AFSDK directly.

In response to Vincent Kaufmann, "As far as I know, AF Ports are only impl..." I know Sigmafine but we are not using it. AF Ports allow to connect elements and generate topology which is more than parent-child relationship and can be used to represent networks (pipes, eletrical lines, ethernet etc) In our widget, given an element of the network, we would like to retrieve the list of connected elements in order to show their attributes' values
