Commit to combining PI Web API and PI AF SDK

By my understanding, PI Web API is cross-platform but is slower than and lacks some of the features of PI AF SDK. Over time, PI Web API's speed and feature set approach those of PI AF SDK, making platform compatibility a progressively more significant difference where PI Web API wins out. The writing is on the wall but no one is saying anything. Please officially commit bringing the speed and features of PI AF SDK into PI Web API so that PI Web API is the only API that developers use, and then PI AF SDK can be deprecated. This will help steer developers towards PI Web API, minimize their research in comparing the APIs, steer them in the right direction for training, and overall help minimize regret and waste of resources from having chosen the wrong API to work with. PI Web API is based on the AF SDK, so deprecating the AF SDK is not a viable option. That being said, what specific capabilities are you looking for to enhance the PI Web API?

We need to be able to execute backfill/recalculations, ideally via the Web API. A second, but less ideal, option would be via a cross-platform .NET 6 or .NET 7 SDK. It looks like this functionality was originally going to be added in April 2017 according to a forum post (link below), but it seems like it still hasn't it made it into the Web API at year-end 2022. If this could be prioritized for the next Web API update, it would be greatly appreciated.

I don't have any specific capabilities in mind. My reasoning is everything that I said above.
