Add new query that limits data pulled to that which is sufficient to properly chart while maintaining the visual integrity of the data

One of the quickest ways to identify exceptions is to visualize it through plots. Exceptions are often minima's or maxima's. Sampled data queries often miss the exceptions. Compressed data queries are frequently so voluminous that it is not possible to pull all the data you desire. Ideally, there would be a Pi DataLink query available where you could identify the time range you wish to retrieve, and only the data necessary to accurately plot that tag would be returned. This would minimize the data retrieved, speeding up queries and data transfers, while not overloading Excel with a bunch of data that is not useful for visualization. It appears OSI has this sort of functionality with the PlotValues method, but this is not available within the Pi DataLink tool. Could this functionality be added easily?
