Include Option to Install Legacy Add-Ins Via Installation Wizard

Many users utilize the legacy add-ins for DataLink through VBA code.  Starting with DataLink 2016, the add-ins are not installed by default and so upgrades and new installations can prevent existing spreadsheets from working if additional steps were not taking to install the legacy components.  These steps are unnecessarily complicated: extract the installation package, modify the setup.ini, then proceed with the installation. Instead, the installation wizard could provide users with an option to install the legacy components while at the same time warning them of the security risks posed by ActiveX.

It might just be better to migrate everything away from the legacy add-ins, rather than continue to use them with the false sense that they are still well-supported, only to have the legacy add-ins disappear in a later version and somebody posting an angry suggestion for the legacy add-ins to be added back in. I see the difficult installation of the legacy add-ins as cheap incentive and a clear warning for users to stop using them. Edit: The legacy add-ins have now been removed from the PI DataLink install kit.
