1:1 Data Transfer Option in AVEVA PI2PI Interface

The AVEVA PI2PI Interface requires a new configuration option to enable a direct 1:1 data transfer from the source to the destination. This option must ensure that data is copied precisely as it is received from the source, without any modifications, transformations, or aggregations applied during the transfer process.

Additionally, a second option is required to handle existing data in the destination for the specified time range.

Acceptance Criteria:

  • Functionality:When enabled, the new 1:1 transfer option shall ensure that all data points from the source are transferred to the destination exactly 1:1.

  • Integrity:No data values, timestamps, or attributes shall be altered during the transfer when this option is active.

  • Existing Data Handling (New Option):A separate configurable option shall allow the user to specify that if data already exists in the destination for the requested time range, this existing data must be automatically deleted before the replication process begins.

  • Logging:Upon completion of a transfer cycle, the interface shall generate a clear log entry indicating the successful and error-free completion of the 1:1 data copying process. This log entry should be easily verifiable to confirm data integrity.

  • Configuration:Both options must be easily configurable within the existing PI2PI interface settings.
