Dynamic Rule for Replacing Special Character from Tag and Attribute Name while Shaping View in Designer

Currently we have our end application which cant consume Attribute names which has certain special characters such as ':', currently in PI Integrator we have an option to create alias for each attribute. But we would like have an option to create a rule which find-and-replace certain special character while designing the view in PIBA.

Control systems, OPC servers and PI tags traditionally use special characters as deliminators when multi level concatenated tag naming is used. We have learned that tehses special charactors are not supported by many of the big data and analsys platforms and require renaming of PI tags, PI AF attributes or a data tranformation script to remove or replace non complaint replace special characters. The ability to perform a special charactor replacement or removal as pat of the OSI Soft Business Analytics Integrator would resolve the issue and provide flexability for BA Integrator customers to stream or upload PI Data to cloud analytics platforms without requiring an intermediate data transformation operation.
