Add the ability to export/Import views

As a Systems Integrator I need to be able to develop BI views in a test environment then after customer acceptance, there needs to be a mechanism to move that view to production environments.

There's a utility on PI Square that was written to copy views from one integrator instance to another: https://pisquare.osisoft.com/docs/DOC-2813-introducing-the-moving-views-utility-for-pi-integrator-for-business-analytics While we'll try to help if there are any problems, it's not part of an official release so isn't fully supported by OSIsoft.

...and a tool that can do that without a direct connection between the source and target system. So some XML export & import would have my string preference. (and as a bonus that allows for some hacking in between)

This feature will be included in the release after PI Integrator for Business Analytics 2016 R2 SP1 which is currently scheduled for Q1/2018.
