Please have PI Integrator for Business Analytics supports high availability (HA)

Per the following KB published by Aveva, it is disappointing to see that Aveva does not support a Highly Available SQL System. This would be beneficial as most organizations (including ours) are transitioning to a highly available schema/architecture for not just SQL, but all PI products & PI servers. As Kimlin's comment states, it does not make sense for companies to purchase a separate license for a standalone SQL server when there is existing configurations & architecture in place to support a Highly Available Environment.

@Aveva Product Support- I kindly encourage you all to please work on supporting SQL HA, a NLB configuration, and ensuring that folks with a SQL HA setup do receive accurate licensing information (stream counts) for the PII4BA product.

We've built a HA PI environment and would like to see this product get a proper SQL AlwaysOn support. It does not make sense for us to buy another license for a standalone SQL server when we've built an architecture around HA including the SQL server.

It will be great if PI Integrator for Business Analytics can provide HA options similar to AF, i.e. PI Integrator Framework service HA and SQL database HA.

We had this issue twice in 3 months. Happens during patching. Support for SQL Always On will be great.

It might not be extremely necessary to have integrator level HA as it supports History Recovery. But it should be able to support SQL Backend HA. For the Integrator, a SQL Server Standard or SQL Server Enterprise is recommended. Most of the time this is a company SQL (non-only for PI purposes) which is built-in HA. This pushes our customers to acquire more SQL licenses.

HA for the Integrator is requested, compare collective for PI AF. The reason is full uptime of the streams is necessary. It is also requested that Integrator for BA supports SQL-Server HA. As stated in previous comment, there is ost often a company solution for SQL-server that has built in HA. Using sparate SQL-server solutions only for Integrator for BA causes a lot of administration.

Continued availability of reports in near real time is required. Some reports deal with factors related to safety, legal compliance, etc that are time-sensitive and need to be reliably published on schedule, regardless of availability of the single server that currently handles all integrator operations. Receiving such a report after a significant delay could have serious consequences, including inappropriate management decisions, lost productivity, or continuation of dangerous conditions beyond the normal response time.

it would be good HA support for both for SQL database and PI Integrator services. the best would be to have a balanced environment for the Integrator services allowing to run views and streams on all the application nodes. in case of a fault on one will automatically move the jobs on another.
