Replay Time / Playback Time

Be able to go back in history and "replay" what happened while looking at a display. Also potentially integrate this with event frames, i.e. the ability to replay what happened leading up to an event, during event, and after an event.

With Processbook going away, these are the kinds of features we should expect PI Vision to incorporate as well, to continue to deliver the value we need and expect.

Another vote as a needed feature for troubleshooting, and it would be useful for testing display functionality. It was in Processbook and should be in PIVision.
Also, a bit of searching shows another customer added it to Coresight

This feature in process book is one of the most powerful aspects for end user fault finding on equipment.

As ProcessBook will no longer be supported end of 2024, will this functionality be ported into Vision?

Several customers have asked for this feature. Ideally designed similar to the Playback feature that existed in ProcessBook. Thank you.

with the ability to alter the speed of time via push button, ie 2x, 4x, 10x, 1/2x, custom speed etc etc. would be great

My interpretation of this request is to "run/pause" an automatic forward/backward scrolling of the timewindow by a selectable time step, something doable manuallly by repetitively pushing the arrows in the time bar.

When is this functionality going to become incorporated from Processbook into PI Vision?

Agreed - just like a DVR. We have construced hundreds of displays that replicate our Process Control Systems (PCS). It would be game changing to be able to update the display for a particular time (dd-mmm-yy hh:mm:ss), specify the duration interval (i.e. 5s, 10s, etc...), and just hit a play button that automatically advances the time on display by that interval. Useless for dashboards; powerful for PCS replica displays.

add a playback feature like the one in ProcessBook. ProcessBook playback feature was used to replay an event in accelerated mode. It was very useful for investigation when a problem or an accident occured.

Until PIVision includes the replay/playback functions, ProcessBook will be a requirement. The toolbar also includes the fine and coarse control of time for the displayed data, fine control is missing from PIVision.

Would be very helpfull for analyzing development over time when the visalization of the data you are looking for is easier to understand graphic rather than a trend.

Devon Energy has created this in our instance of PI Vision, would love to give it to OSI/AVEVA if they would just support it.

WIth the XY Plots and other symbols that show geometric style or shape data, playback is an awesome way visualise this.
