Support multiple time ranges for trends on a display

Have the ability to support multiple time ranges for trends on a display.  For example a trend might be configured as showing the last 8 hours, another one as the last 7 days, and another one the last month.

PI Vision 2020 introduces new trend configuration options that allow display builders to select whether the trend time range should be based on display time range, duration/offset from display end time, or custom time range. See a demo of these capabilities on our YouTube learning channel: https://youtu.be/_tjfdGo_WTo For additional information on PI Vision 2020, please see the release announcement here: https://customers.osisoft.com/s/knowledgearticle?knowledgeArticleUrl=000031641

If you even want to fathom Coresight taking a position alongside as an alternative to ProcessBook - this has to be put back.

This was also requested by the audience at the Toronto Regional Seminar (specifically bringing back the ability to lock the time on a trend)

Can we have the ability to lock the time range on an individual trend please. This was a great feature in earlier versions of Coresight, and it's a shame it's gone.

Would be nice not only lock the time range for the trend, but also set time separately for every widget (including external widgets).

This feature has to come back ! Not being able to display several time range force people to use tricks in AF instead, which isn't good in a "self-service" data visualization tool. + This was available in the older version of Coresight.

Is there a time frame as to when this new update will be released? I think it's really good that OSI Soft is developing this suggestion, it will really help out in my line of work!

I hope that OSIsoft looks to the future and will expand this functionality for every widget. In order to have possibility to analyse the data in the multiple time ranges on the one screen.

When selecting and trending a variable on PI Vision native, it does not have the option to modify the time scale or dates. Please make available similar to ProcessBook derived displays.

There are JavaScript libraries which would accept two different time ranges (high level view and zoom in chart) in the same object for the same data series / group of data series. It would be fantastic for Pi Vision to support this type of feature

Any chance this is going to be supported in the upcoming PI Vision 2019 release?

When adding trends and tables, the ability to set trends to different time lengths. i.e 1 trend showing a trend value over 1hour and another trend able to be set to show a value over say 12 hours, etc etc

I hope to see this feature in the next release. We're moving to PI Vision and this has already been a question for users who are migrating trends from ProcessBook.
