The OP states “more ideal”. I think that’s relative, but that is the point – sometimes it better to open in a new window, sometimes in the same.
As to the Admin’s Response questions:
The main problem is users complaining to me that to many windows open. Kidding, sorta. Our use case, is using these attributes as hyperlinks for Display Titles. You can click on the display title to go ‘up a level’ to the main process. When doing that we don’t want to open a new tab. We use an AF attribute so you can update a URL change in one place instead of fixing 100 individual displays.
Whatever is easier – put the option in the AF Attribute URI builder function somehow, or direct the string into the “Add Navigation Link” function of the Vision Value object.
All users so they don’t fill their tabs up, admins so we stop getting the requests – so, everyone 😊
