TABLE: Allow Asset Comparison table to be transposed

In the paper industry, there are fewer assets at a site, but those assets tend to have many attributes (e.g., there may only be 3 paper machines, but each has 100 attributes of interest). It would be helpful if the Asset Comparison table in PI Vision could be transposed so that asset names were Column headings and attribute names were rows. For example, instead  of a table with 5 rows and 100 columns (that can't be seen all at once on one display page), it would be better to have four columns of assets names with 100 rows of values, where the attribute name was the first cell in each row. Such as Paper Machine 1....PM2....PM3 Model #    123                        456      789

I'm in the transmission and distribution industry and have the same issue. The number of circuit breakers associated with another element are few but the circuit breaker attributes are many. It would be really good to have the elements as the columns and the attributes as rows. Also the attribute names tend to be longer than the element names so having them as rows would better for this reason also.

I have talked to users from two different customers who have requested this functionality for the exact same reason: many more attributes per asset than assets in the table. Edit: customers are in Chemicals and O&G Downstream.

I've come across a few cases in the oil & gas industry that this feature would also be helpful for.

Need this, The comparison table is stupid wide because of the lenght of the attribute names.

Current table looks like this: Asset | Attribute 1 Name | Attribute 2 Name | Attribute 3 Name | Attribute 4 Name | Attribute 5 Name Asset 1 | Attribute 1 Value | Attribute 2 Value | Attribute 3 Value | Attribute 4 Value | Attribute 5 Value Asset 2 | Attribute 1 Value | Attribute 2 Value | Attribute 3 Value | Attribute 4 Value | Attribute 5 Value Asset 3 | Attribute 1 Value | Attribute 2 Value | Attribute 3 Value | Attribute 4 Value | Attribute 5 Value Want to be able to change table in case there are lots of Attributes needed in 1 table. The table gets very wide. Sometimes there are lots more Attributes than Assets that is why it makes sense to be able to transpose the table. Column 1 is either the Asset (as it is now) or the Attribute (future feature) Attribute | Asset 1 | Asset 2 | Asset 3 Attribute 1 Name | Asset 1, Attribute 1 Value | Asset 2, Attribute 1 Value | Asset 3, Attribute 1 Value Attribute 2 Name | Asset 1, Attribute 2 Value | Asset 2, Attribute 2 Value | Asset 3, Attribute 2 Value Attribute 3 Name | Asset 1, Attribute 3 Value | Asset 2, Attribute 3 Value | Asset 3, Attribute 3 Value Attribute 4 Name | Asset 1, Attribute 4 Value | Asset 2, Attribute 4 Value | Asset 3, Attribute 4 Value Attribute 5 Name | Asset 1, Attribute 5 Value | Asset 2, Attribute 5 Value | Asset 3, Attribute 5 Value

Would be great to have this for application in our Power Plants. Many attributes to few assets make for way too wide tables.

Exactly the same comment as maumuniz. We have fewer assets with many attributes so this table would be more useful if it could be transpose.d
