Tree View for Display Asset Context Switching

As a PI Vision user, I want to use an AF hierarchy Tree View to switch the asset context of my display so that I can navigate to the asset I'm looking for.

One of my biggest issues with PI Vision is just this! The interface is way too clunky. Would like it to look more like System Explorer.

Hi are you trying to achieve something of the following shown in the video link? OSIsoft: Swap Related Assets in PI Coresight 2016 Displays [v3.0.0.4] - YouTube if yes, in order to do that, you will need to build the assets based of the same element template, in that case, you will be able to switch the asset context based of 1 display.

we would like to have something similar, but not template based. A way to organize relevant displays hierarchically and vertically possibly through AF (e.g. plant overview--> details 1, details 2 ...etc.) this maybe already considered in https://feedback.osisoft.com/forums/320517-pi-vision-formerly-pi-coresight/suggestions/10619010-create-display-folders-manage-user-access-with-f

I would like to be able select the Parent Element and have the data update accordingly. We have many displays built for each of our sites and it's very cumbersome to get the data to update when we wish to view another sites data.

I agree that this would be a great value-add to PI Vision. In WebParts you had the ability to use whatever AF hierarchy(ies) you had configured to serve as navigation tools. This helped customers with multiple facilities leverage the Element Relative capabilities much more efficiently.

It sounds like you all are looking for something along the lines of this: https://pisquare.osisoft.com/community/developers-club/blog/2017/06/01/pi-vision-element-relative-toolpane

It would be very interesting to implement this. Just a "copy & paste" as Sharepoint Webpart ... a treeview linked by an AF attribute to a main container where to display a detail view of the selected element.

Not only I would need the tree but I'd also need to see the attributes of the elements on the tree: name, value, timestamp, description, analysis, etc. It is not efficient to work with PSE to analyse information but need to change to PI Vision in case I need a chart with any minimum comoplication, with PSE charting is not able to deal with.

Would there be a chance to get this enhancement soon? especially after end of life for Processbook, it's important Processbooks functionalities in PI Vision.
