Ability to disable Calculations feature

In some situations, PI Vision administrators may wish to globally disable the Calculations feature, or selectively limit who may use it. - Backwards compatibility with PI ProcessBook Data Sets is not needed - Policy requires exclusive use of Asset Analytics - Concerns of increased load on the PI Server due to lack of restrictions on Calculation creation - Etc. PI Vision should offer the ability to limit the use of Calculations throughout the system, or to only a select group of trusted users.

    PI Vision 2021 introduces the ability to disable PI Vision calculation creation and evaluation within PI Vision displays.     Dear Admin!


    I have been using PI Vision 2023 SP1 for a long time but your statement is not valid "PI Vision 2021 introduces the ability to disable PI Vision calculation creation". OR correct me if I am wrong but still there is no option to disable the PI Vision calculation creation.

    Thank OSI Soft for providing this much needed functionality. As it is open to all users, it will increase additional load on the system. Option to provide the functinality to selected users will very helpful.
