calculated COUNT of an attribute

Count of values in tables: In tables there are some calculation (MIN, MAX; AVERAGE, RANGE, STDEV,...) available, but no COUNT - I´m really missing it for online reporting, for example: number of cycles or produced pieces based on suitable attributes/tags

Does count here refer to the number of events/data points over the time range? Or are you looking for a calculation of the total (the sum of the values of the events) over the time range?

Number of ARCHIVED events is a method that would be very useful for us if added as a feature since some client applications reading data from the PI (AF) system do not have "count" method (but only some basic methods like Min\Max\Avg)

I would like to be able to track "count" as for example change in status! on/off No of events. Configure between total changes or changes from off to on. Ex. How many times has a pump started.

I was hoping the calculation will reflect the selected time range of the display. Calculations can be easily done in AF. But changing the count (EFs or occurrence), total, etc. over the changed time span of display is something with really added value. EventCount('My count 1 attribute in EF','startime of vision display','Endtime of vision display')
