Mobile App Trending Capability for PI Vision

The Coresight App had a very clean ability to add and remove traces from an easy to read trends, but does not work across our fire wall. Clicking on links after searching in the Data Items Section presents the user with capabilities similar to the Coresight App. Capturing this URL and pasting in the phone window renders the data in the non-mobile view which is hard to manipulate. Building a series of native Vision displays with trends is difficult to navigate because the symbol scrolling interferes with the page scrolling. Allow users to get the mobile presentation like they had searched for data by passing links to Vision.

    Mobile friendliness definitely needs to be improved upon. The old app was simple and worked fairly well. However trying to use PI Vision now on mobile devices is very cumbersome and not easy at all. Bring an app back!

    This is exactly what we are looking for as an update to PI Vision. It would make integration to external systems that use the PI AF elements much easier. With the advent of QR codes on elements in the field, it would allow custom apps where the user can scan the QR code on the element and then be redirected to a page like in your screenshot.
