PI Manual Logger: Option for Web App to default to Grid View

In PI Manual Logger Web, there is a Grid Data Entry view, and a List Data Entry view.  The current default is the List view.  However, many users only use the Grid view.  It would be nice to have an option, such as a url parameter, that has a Tour Run default to the Grid view.

    In PI Manual Logger Web 2017 R2, an application level setting (DefaultToGridView) was added to set the default view for data collection to be the grid view.

    It would be beneficial to have preset view in the Grid View, with custom-set filters applied on a column. My operators do not always know the name of the tag and often rely on the description field. In this case, being able to save the Description filter will help my operators find the appropriate tags quickly and efficiently.

    Need to go a little further. Need the ability to set the initial view of a specific tour. Not all tours need to start in Grid View. Basically adding the option in the PIML App tour definition.

    DefaultColumnsToDisplayInGrid can be change in Web.config. But how can you force this to be defaulted to grid view? The Customer wants Gridview to be displayed by default.
