Advanced Filtering for Event Frames

Request for advanced filtering for Event Frames where Event Frames to be displayed in a PI Vision display can be selected as well as omitted. Use Case: My company has real time operations and after the fact operations. Real time wants to see some critical events and some on-going that occur now and only a limited amount (100 for example). Our after the fact group wants to track different performance metrics that can occur days, weeks, or months later (maybe 1000 events). I would like a way of filtering out the after the fact performance metric events so I can just watch for the real time events. Currently there are two ways to go without this change request that are not ideal. 1) name all of the real time events with the same "Event Type" and filter the table for just those and 2) create a separate AF DB. For 1) there are multiple types of events that realtime wants to monitor. An event table that is normally blank except for critical events and an event table for on-going issues (long duration and still active events). For 2) The master DB with all of the elements and attributes is updated frequently with new elements and references. From what I can find, there is no way to reference elements from one DB to another (only the attributes using String Builder). This would require two DB's to maintained separately and runs the risk of version control problems.
