Display Pan and Zoom using the Mouse feature like Adobe

With some large graphic displays and/or with tables of data (font too small and can't be adjusted) it is difficult to read. A great feature in Adobe is to use the Marquee zoom by holding down left mouse button and selecting zoom area.. then select Hand tool to Pan the display simply using the Mouse. The existing + and - options coupled with the screen right and bottom side slider adjuster is too cumbersome and clunky. very user unfriendly. Is there a way to do this navigation easy ? Please advise.

    hold space to pan around like photoshop would be amazing! we have wide pages and it is so inconvenient to keep going down to the scroll bar, please get this one done!
