I like the basic look of Pi Vision with the black background and options to use colours to make things more clear in the drawing.
The library of pictures are thorough but I am missing some more options on for example heat exchangers. One can get around it with the option to import your own images. However, when you import pictures, you need to draw a box and then the image takes that dimensions. This is a drawback because now you need to fix the aspect ratio manually. I would recommend that the image imports with its aspect ratio at a size to still fit into the box.
When selecting more than one shape one needs to hold in the Ctrl key. One can also all the Shift-key, like all other similar drawings tools allow.
Changing line thickness is a real frustration with the sliding bar. This was not at all a good idea. I would recommend to type in a value and the option of arrows to change the value, like in Powerpoint.
The arrow size changes with the line thickness. This is not working bad. I like that. However, one can probably add additional functionality.
The rotation option is working well, where one fills in a value. One can probably add a functionality here, like Powerpoint has, but it is probably not necessary.
The arrangement tools are working very well.
Holding in the shift key to scroll sideways is VERY nice! I wish more programs want to allow this.
One cannot format more that one shape at a time. This is a huge drawback! When you select more than one shape, the only option allowed is to group the shapes. And then, after grouping them, one cannot change the size of the grouping. Also a very big drawback.
There is not an option for a Freeform shape (Powerpoint) or polygon and a polyline (Process book). This is something I generally uses a lot.
When drawing an arc, one can only draw a quarter of a circle. Both Powerpoint and Process book allows to change the arc angle.
When one adds a new value, it always is displayed with all the properties visible. One can get around this by copying a nearby value and pull the new value into this one, but there are surely better ways. One can for example have an option to right-click on any shape and select something like “Set as new default”. This can then be a temporary default for all new values. And again, one cannot format a number of values simultaneously. One needs to do it one by one, which is very frustrating.
I really hope that these additional functionality can be added.
