Aramco leadership has highlighted a strong need for native pie chart support in PI Vision. Their top management prefers pie‑based visuals for KPI and allocation dashboards because they provide an immediate, intuitive comparison of multiple values in a single view.

The current circular bar symbol only supports one tag per symbol, which forces users to create five or more separate circular bars to represent what a single pie chart would show at a glance. This leads to cluttered displays, inconsistent sizing, and reduced readability for executive‑level dashboards.

A native pie chart would allow:

    • Aggregated comparison of multiple tags in one visual

    • Cleaner, more compact dashboards

    • Faster interpretation for management and operations teams

This enhancement would significantly improve PI Vision’s usability and adoption for high‑level monitoring and reporting.
