Replace tags in PI Vision objects by editing the tagname

In Processbook, we used pre-built displays where colors, appearance, and areas were fixed as templates. Only the tag name was edited in the trends or values, and the display was saved under the new name.

It would greatly simplify display creation if PI Vision also allowed us to easily adjust tag names within the objects themselves.

    For the OP, I suspect you know, but if not, single tag objects, live Value, Gauge, or Bar, you can drop a tag/attribute onto the object and it will replace it, but yeah, trends are just easier to start over sometimes.

    yes, this. If trace colors could be locked in order, as you delete or add tags/attributes
