Dashboard or watchlist (in a table)

This would be something similar to the existing MS SharePoint PI Table Web Part. It would be great to see those assets in trouble or meeting a certain criteria (for example, using filters). Similar to the Table Web Part, being able to see the current state as a multi-state (for example, all assets in table, those with a red indicator are in trouble). Tables make good sense for dashboards or watchlists, common needs in condition monitoring or asset health (likely the most common use case for PI). The ability to drill into the next level of the hierarchy with a link such that we could drill into the next level of detail would be great too. This would allow us to see at the highest level where trouble or concern lies, then drill into success levels of detail to get to specific issues. Today, we have to create and update many PB displays setup in a hierarchy. Part of the reason this does not work well is that each level of the hierarchy does not have the same number of child nodes and some have additional levels. This is similar to another post here on "Asset Comparison". These lists (or tables) should be sortable, support filters (like only assets of this category or this attribute and value, etc.).

The PI Vision development team has completed work on a new Asset Comparison Table in PI Vision 2017 that allows you to generate a table of assets (rows) and attributes (columns) which can be populated dynamically based on search and filter criteria. This table can also be used with the Drill-in Navigation feature of PI Vision 2017 to link to another display from the Asset Comparison Table with the asset context of the selected row. Upgrade to PI Vision 2017 to take advantage of this and other key new features. You can read about the key new features in PI Vision 2017 in our release announcement here: https://techsupport.osisoft.com/Troubleshooting/Releases/RL01216

Had a conversation with an SI that is a big proponent of PI and AF. They want to move from WebParts to Coresight but have certain key things that are a must for them to be able to do that. They need the ability to have a table that retrieves a dataset based on the selection in an Element Tree and also have the ability to have a time range be able to be set on the table independent of other components on the Coresight screen.

I think that this would be very valuable in many areas.

What would be a solution to this problem, if we take away the restriction that this needs to be done in PI Coresight? Could, say, PI AF Analytics at least identify the worst well?

Two of my EA customers (M&M and Manufacturing) have also requested this enhancement

Be able to compare assets against each other in a table. User Story: As a process engineer, Lalit wants to compare assets in an asset comparison table where the rows are assets and the columns are attribute values of that asset SO THAT he can determine which assets to focus on. For example: if I’m analyzing 1000 wells, I really just want to know the top 5 wells in terms of which wells are costing the most for being down (lost production).

I can play with PI Vision 2017 through VLE. With Asset comparaison table , we should have the engineering unit. Like we use Template , we should put the engineering in header column at right. EX , P60 ( m3/h), to have a meaning for the value

An addition to this, I'd like to be able to use the asset comparison table to display the top 10 highest loaded feeders on the network based on amps. I have the attributes configured as nested under the one element eg;"APhase|Amps","BPhase|Amps","CPhase|Amps". As all the attributes of interest have the same name (albeit nested under different attributes), I'd like to be able to list them in the same column and sort in descending order to get the top 10.

I would like to be able to create a table that list one Attribute for all selected Assets. I can do this manually by going to each Asset and dragging the attribute into a table. This task could be simplified by selecting multiple Assets and the single Attribute and drag the one Attribute to the table. This should automatically populate the table with a single attribute for all selected Assets.

Be able to show the top/bottom 5 assets based on a selected attribute value. User Story: As a process engineer, Lalit wants to know the top 5 wells (assets) out of his 1000 wells that are costing him the most in terms of lost production right now SO THAT he can prioritize his day and drill into the most important issues and ultimately fix them.

Pivot table - As a new feature add a pivot table option. User selects multiple Assets and these will become the rows of a Pivot table. Then selects (drags) multiple Attributes as Columns into a table. The Value makes up the data cell of the (row, column).

We need functionality like excel dynamic cross table. We need to have multi-select one AF member and display all elements inside this template ex : if i have 20 turbines and each turbine is defined through one turbine template and this template has 5 attributes. I should be able to multi-select in AF every turbine and drag them in right side and display my 100 elements ( 5*20 ) in one click Easy way to compare similar equipment
