Trend: Show cursor values while dragging

As a process engineer, while dragging a trend cursor I'd like to see the process values. Currently, I can only see the value once I drop the cursor, I need to see the values WHILE dragging the cursor so that I can quickly identify problems in my process. This feature was available in previous versions (PI Coresight) and in ProcessBook.

    When we move the trend cursor the date and time is showing but the corresponding temperature, pressure or whatever we are checking is not showing with respect to time. But this facility was available in in the PI Processbook. Hope you will work on this.

    From customer with a very big project to move to PI Vision for all their sites from their ProcessNet system: Our ProcessNet system has the ability to update the trend cursor values while dragging. I have had the same feedback from the Vancouver Process Engineers. This may lead to delaying our migration to PI Vision so I just wanted to make sure we had it captured somewhere. Thanks, Owen

    It would be very useful to see the values on the pen line while dragging. Also, they are all currently displayed at the top of the cursor line. They should be displayed where the cursor intersects the trend line.

    This is blocking us from migrating all users from PI ProcessBook to PI Vision. This feature is critical in trying to resolve active chemical process emergencies.

Display Trend Values as User Marker is Moved

Merged
Displaying the trend values as you moved the marker forward or backward would allow for easier data analysis. For example, if looking for the time a trend reaches a certain value, it is sometime easier to drag the marker and watch the value change.
