Keep reference selected between reloads

We have created an element referenced display. So far so good, everything works fine. Would it be possible to keep the selected reference selected in between refreshes or after opening the page again? Maybe with a cookie or something? This prevents our users to select their asset ever again and again after opening. Or maybe this is possible already, then please let us now how.

While we appreciate the interest for this suggestion, we have decided to decline this item in favor of other high priority work the product needs. Thank you for your feedback, and please continue sharing suggestions for how we can improve PI Vision for you!

In addition to this it would be very nice to be able to open a element referenced display and pick an element using navigation links then be able to copy a URL so that we can email to someone such that the link will default to the element we want instead of the first or default element.

Hi Erik, It's not exactly what you're asking for, but you can add an Asset= parameter to the URL and fully specify the path to the element you want to show. You can then email this URL to someone. Unfortunately, it's not as easy to create the URL as the method you suggest, but once the URL value is manually entered, the result will be the same. For example, adding this parameter to the end of the URL will open a display showing the Black Mesa wind farm: ?asset=\\pvaf\WindPower\WInd Power Generation Fleet\Black Mesa Wind Farm
