Create Display Folders & Manage User Access with Folders

Have the ability to create folders for displays as a way to organize them.  Be able to add and delete displays from the folders.  Manage user access to displays (read vs read/write) by the folders.

    The PI Vision development team has completed work on display folders in PI Vision 2017 R2. Upgrade to PI Vision 2017 R2 to take advantage of this and other key new features.     Absolutely needed, the main Coresight page becomes a mess when you have 500+ displays on it. We need folders just like using windows explorer. The ability to lock them down to users, or security groups would solve security issues as well.

    Support the folders for organization. Do not want security based on folders - that should be user-based and managed by identities.

    Yes, needed very much. If you have lots of graphics in one folder, it will be time consuming to define the user access right to every graphics. So we can also solve the security problem by the folder management.

    Yes, folders for organization is needed, with security handled via active directory.

    We have several projects using Coresight, and displays are in respective folders but what a mess to look at. No folder organisation from the viewer point. All displays mixed up. Folder organisation and show folders and sub folders is a must in big corporations.

    Possibility to gather native Coresight Dashboards would be to organize dashboards by asset for instance and by discipline. Moreover keywords solutions could be keep since it is also efficient to find a dashboard with it.

    Essential to be able to do this because companies will have a very large number of displays and sorting through them will become very hard. It would also be nice to have some filtering search capability on the display names.

    Better manageability options (organizational folders) and ease of access/finding displays in Coresight homepage. The home page, as it is right now, takes a lot of space and is not that useful in easily and quickly finding a set of displays. Every time we need to find a display, we use search which defies the purpose of having a preview section on homepage
