Dynamic Collection Criteria Search Root

I would like to be able to dynamically change my collection criteria search root, based on the drop-down asset, so that the collection is element relative. This way, I don't have to create multiple collection displays.

The PI Vision development team has completed work in PI Vision 2017 R2 to swap collection search criteria roots using the related assets menu. Upgrade to PI Vision 2017 R2 to take advantage of this and other key new features. You can read about what's new in PI Vision 2017 R2 in the release announcement: https://techsupport.osisoft.com/Troubleshooting/Releases/RL01278

Hi, I have another use case. Customer has wind turbines and events for them, which reference the turbine as an element. There are various windparks with n windturbines. When I drill down to display with information from windparks A, I would like to see an event table with events from turbines in this windpark A. With search option element on display, it does not found anything and with any it founds all event also from other parks. I have an attribute with name of the wind park and if i use a filter = windpark A, it works, but when I swap asset to see the display for windpark B, I still see events for windpark A. Once this request will be implemented, will it handle this use case as well? Thanks

I have water customers that want to see a collection of pump station objects (overview data), but pump stations are located in multiple catchment regions and zones. Having the ability to dynamically change the collection search root to filter the collection to a specific catchment region or zone would add considerable value.

This functionality would help a lot. Please consider generalizing, in particular to asset comparison tables (search root in asset comparison table can be chosen via asset drop down selector).

We want to use this for alarm sorting utilizing asset relative displays. Looking forward to the feature being implemented.

In an element Relative display each heat exchanger may have some differences.  Would like to have say two trends for one exchanger, when selecting another exchanger the new one has only one trend.
