Love this idea!
What specific problem are you trying to solve with this enhancement? we need ways to navigate multiple levels in a hierarchy. for example, choose refinery, choose division, choose unit. so being able to drill down in a cleaner way than just the 1 dropdown at top for the user would great
How would you like this feature to work? this could be done multiple ways like additional nested dropdowns or hierarchy selection. flexibility is always good (IOTA does this)
Who will benefit the most from this enhancement? operations, management, technical
I think this training video by OSISoft Learning on Youtube: PI Vision - Add Asset Filter Criteria and Navigation Links, actually shows a use case for Nested Collections. The Trainer has to create a collection for each of his sites instead of using a collection to pull all the sites with a nested collection that pulls all the pumps.
