Library of standard graphical symbols

Make a library of standard graphical symbols available. Things like pumps, motors, valves, etc. so that they can be used to make process mimics using consistent images.

The PI Vision development team has completed work on a new Graphics Library in PI Vision 2017 that provides a standard set of process and industry symbols can be used to create process diagrams and uniform representation of assets. Upgrade to PI Vision 2017 to take advantage of this and other key new features. You can read about the key new features in PI Vision 2017 in our release announcement here: https://techsupport.osisoft.com/Troubleshooting/Releases/RL01216

Have access to a large collection of pre-made symbols / stencils that can be used for authoring displays.

This would be awesome! Yes we could all print-screen shots and add graphics, but the addition of consistent symbols would be much appreciated

The colour palette for symbols needs to be a little richer as well. Only two shades of grey is not enough. If you are using the light grey as a background, then you only have one more grey tone to work with. There should be at least a range of grey scales. Then we can build more elegant and potentially animated symbols.

Is there a place to even share graphic examples of how to build complex symbols with the tools in the 2016 Beta ? A "group" function would also be useful when building complex symbols, especially when using the multi sided and distortable tool. Examples showing how to use this tool to build more complex shapes from arrows to seperators would be useful.

This might also be a good avenue to allow partners to publish sets of graphics for different industries or products similar to Microsoft Visio

1 ) Addition of XY Plots. 2 ) In most of the project we make 100's of .PDI display in Dev environment and same displays are then rolled out into Prod eb=nvironment using some scripts . If the same can be done with Coresight displays and Processbook to some extent can be completely avoided.

This should be easy to do. Can you just export/import the symbols from ProcessBook to CoreSight? Tech Support told me today to take screenshots.
