transfer timerange from Vision display into ad-hoc trend space

We're looking at an EF from a table and hit the apply time range button. As we need to add some tags for our analysis we want wo to use the ad-hoc workspace. The ad-hoc is now set to that time, but if I change to another EF it doesn't reload the times settings. I'd like to have an easy way to pass that change to the ad-hoc space. Maybe a right click on the timebar that says "Pass time range to ad-hoc trend" or something like that.
