Asset Comparison: Trend with multiple elements with specific attributes

Testing Coresight 2016. After searching for all the elements I want to display on one graph, I want to be able to select the attributes I want to display. Currently, can only drag all the elements onto the display, which creates a trend with all the elements and all their attributes. I would like to be able to select the elements I want, then drag an attribute from the Attributes section and have it create a trend of all the selected elements with the selected attribute or even multiple attributes. Great Idea. Much needed for Database with large asset count.

We have a need for this functionality. It should have the same features as the Asset Comparison Table, but for a Trend.

One of the implementation concerns we've had is what color and style the traces should be. Because the data items are dynamic, it is possible that the color for a given data item could change between updates. Would using the same color for all traces be acceptable in this situation? Or would it be OK to have the possibility of the trace colors changing? If the element search is not based on attribute values, the traces would only change when elements are removed or added.

The original request sounds 'manual'. Another option, i think James alludes to, would be a single trend 'collection'. For my immediate thought, color wouldn't be an issue, but the trace identification would. If you're comparing the "temp" of 30 assets, 30 traces labeled "temp" is of no value - need some way to get identification of element.
