Trend: Add Dynamic Search Criteria

Allow dynamic search criteria to be added to a trend so that it can dynamically display data from assets based on the specified search criteria (attribute values, attribute name, attribute category, etc).

Collections and Asset Comparison Table are a big step toward meeting this, but the example given suggests a single trend/graph with multiple traces, each trace representing the MW produced for an asset. This specific functionality has been requested here - https://feedback.osisoft.com/forums/320517-pi-vision/suggestions/12903429-asset-comparison-trend-with-multiple-elements-wit

We monitor some buildings at different sites, and have climate sensors in each room. We want to display all temperature measurements from all rooms in a building in one trend, regardless of the number of rooms. Some buildings have 20 rooms while others only have 3. Today we're building the semicolon separated list of paths to the attributes using PI SQL, and appending that to the PI Vision adhoc trend URL, in order to accomplish our goal. Many steps for a simple task.

Be able to easily create an asset comparison display where the same attribute on an asset is compared against other similar assets (for example, based on template) over a time range. For example, compare the MW produced on all Wind Turbines over the last day, which on a trend the traces would be the name of each asset. Note: This was previously Enhancement 93111.

Yes, being able to compare a collection of attributes in a single trend vs. several individual trends would be very useful!

This would be so useful. We have gas compressors that have x number of cylinders on them, we would love to have 1 Vision display that users can switch between compressors and x number of temperature trend lines would show up. Note that in our scenario, each cylinder is it's own element, and each element has 1 Temperature attribute we would want displayed.

Much needed feature so customers can minimize the number of displays they're maintaining. We leverage Vision collections for a lot of things, but there are often times when you want to put certain attributes from all children on a single trend. Similar use cases as other customers here.

One of the implementation concerns we've had is what color, line style, and marker each trace should use. Because the data items are dynamic, it is possible that these characteristics for a given data item could change between updates. Would using the same color for all traces be acceptable in this situation? Or would it be OK to have the possibility of the trace colors changing? If the element search is not based on attribute values, the traces would only change when elements are removed or added.
