Migrate from AngularJS to Angular

AngularJS is deprecated and unsupported. We should not be using unsupported frameworks in production (even if you're paying a 3rd party for support). At a minimum, the migration to Angular 2 should be completed. A more preferred approach would be to use a better framework, like Vue.

Using a deprecated product is a security risk.

    AVEVA has an extended long term support agreement for AngularJS with a software company, XLTS.dev, meaning the AngularJS used in PI Vision will continue to be supported.

    If significant AngularJS issues are identified and addressed through the extended support version, AVEVA will evaluate the updates to see if the changes impact PI Vision. If PI Vision is impacted by significant issues, AVEVA will incorporate the changes with the latest XLTS AngularJS version and release a new PI Vision version to rectify the issues.

    In the event AVEVA decides to end the long term support of AngularJS in PI Vision, AVEVA will provide advance notice and will publish the end of support date.

      Not necessarily asking for a different framework, but please update to a newer version of Angular.
