Use Plotly for charts - or any good charting library

The current chart library is outdated and there are excellent charting libraries out there that allow for basic things as: Human-readable x-axis gridlines that adapt to the zoom level. Zoom with mousewheel, pan, only x-zoom, only y-zoom, double click to zoom out...

Given the relevance of timeseries trend plots in AVEVA PI vision I am surprised that they have not adopted more user experience towards navigating and showing plotted timeseries data.
