Preserve Zoom Level on saving a display

Preserve the zoom level when saving a display so that it opens to that level. This is probably needed per user per device. Currently PI Vision will save the Fit All setting, so that the display will always open to fit all contents in the browser window but specific zooms levels are not saved.

    This item is in development for the upcoming PI Vision 2024 release. The planned functionality will preserve zoom level per display, per user, per browser.

    Maybe it can set a option for autofit function, Horizontal fit , Vertical fit or All fit.

    We have many customers that would benefit from this auto "fit all" upon load of the screen. I would suggest adding a flag to the url string - similar to the flags for Hiding Time/Toolbar and specifying an element with "?asset=".

    In my opinion, even the fit all can be a bit brute force and just as bad as the default zoom. But I can see how hard it would be to accomplish this because there are so many different screen sizes. Maybe with the snap grid in Vision 4 people can specify default zoom based on either width or height they want to fit on a screen.

    Please provide a Zoom toolbar and allow the display to save as full screen for the selected zoom level.

    I think we need a default zoom option. like 100% and customize the zoom level in percentage.

    It would be more convenient to allow the display to save a desired zoom. Indeed, most users will leave a display with a default zoom (non desired). Thanks to this improvement, it enables to save a display with a convenient zoom to let a confortable navigation to the PI Vision users. Please, take into account our need by adding this improvement, it would be nice!

    In my mind, it is very important for the direct users who use PI Vision. It's a pity you don't focus on it.

    Dear @Amit Dutta and @OsiSoft, we the PI System Consultants truly need this feature to be added into the PI Vision System. I was asked by my client to display multiple PI Vision Tabs on multiple Large Screen TVs in an slideshow format via a Web browser. I have achieved this via an add-in, however I need to Preserve the Zoom Level on Saving a Display to ensure that the Pages Fit to Width when opened every time. Currently it is not possible to do that via PI Vision. This is high priority for the end users who need to see the Page from a distance. Please kindly reopen this request and provide a solution for us. We understand that this might be a low priority issue for now, but please keep it open, so that we can solve it together and further improve PI Vision.

    We would also like a zoom level per user/group as there are different use cases for the displays

    it's basic functionnality, users shouldn't even have to ask for this... it's weird that in ProcessBook it was the oposite: it wasn't possible to save as Fit All zoom, only custom zoom...

    Please reconsider implementing this. It would be extremely helpful now that we're migrating displays from ProcessBook to Vision.
